Lilac Time in Lombard
Lombard, IL-Set on the 8.5 acre estate of former Colonel William Plum, Lilacia Park boosts a stunning horticultural display with over1,200 lilacs and 25,000 tulips. Mother's Day Brunch in Lilacia Park
Lombard, IL-Treat your Mom to a delicious brunch during the height of Lilac Time. There are three seating times available on May 19. One at 9 a.m., 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Fee for residents is $26 for adults and $19 for children ages 2-12. The non-resident fee is $30 for adults and $21 for children ages 2-12. The all you can eat buffet includes beverages, made to order omelets, roasted red potatoes, bacon, sausage, assorted quiche, fresh fruit, bagels, muffins, danish, donuts, baked pasta with crème sauce, mixed greens, carved turkey breast, honey glazed ham, silver dollar rolls, dessert bars, brownies and home baked cookies. Old Fashioned Lilac Time Tea Party
Lombard, IL-Adults and seniors will enjoy Lilacia Park, light refreshments, and musical entertainment on May 9 at 1 p.m. Fee for residents is $7 per resident and $9 per non-resident. Prizes will be awarded to those wearing the most creative Lilac Time themed hat. Groups are encouraged to register. Little Lady Lilac Ball
Lombard, IL-Dads! Dance the night away with your special little lady age 3-9 at this fun celebration of spring. Activities will include dancing, games, a sundae bar and a special visit from the royal Lilac Court. This event will be held on May 4 at the Lombard Community Building. Cost is $10.50 for residents and $12.50 for non-residents. Corsages are available by pre-ordering for $12 a piece. Lilac Time Wine and Beer Tasting
Lombard, IL-Enjoy the ambience of beautiful Lilacia Park at the Lilac Time wine or beer tasting events. Both events are co-sponsored by Famous Liquors of Lombard. The "Beer Tasting" will be held on May 18. The "Wine Tasting" which also features cheese and crackers will be held on May 19. Both events are held from 7 - 9 p.m. and the cost is $21 for residents and $24 for non-residents. Pre-registration is required. Mutt Strut 5K Run and 1 Mile Walk
Lombard, IL-The Lombard Park District and the Lombard Town Centre present the second annual Mutt Strut 5K Run and 1 Mile Walk on May 19 at 8 a.m. Participate with or without your dog in either event. Fee includes a T-shirt and a ticket to the pancake breakfast. Register in advance for $20 or the day of for $25. Horseshoe Casino
Lombard, IL-Enjoy a day of gambling and a delicious buffet on May 22 with the Lombard Park District. Travel in a deluxe motorcoach to Hammond, Indiana and choose from a variety of slots and tables. Fee includes transportation, buffet lunch and $5 cash back. The bus will depart from Sunset Knoll Recreation Center, 820 S. Finley in Lombard at 8:15 a.m. and return at 3:30 p.m. Fee is $26 for residents and $30 for non residents. Pre-registration is required. Summer Camps at the Lombard Park District
The Lombard Park District is offering an array of summer day camps for children ages 6-11. Fill you child's summer with fun with "All American Sports Camp" or "Kamp Kritters." Participants can either register for a ten-day session or a six-day session. Both camps will take one bus field trip per session, swim on a weekly basis and receive a camp T-shirt.
