Lombard Park District's fall activity will be available August 1. Activity guides are available at Sunset Knoll Recreation Center, 820 S. Finley Road, the Administration Office, 227 W. Parkside Avenue, and at the Helen Plum Library and Village of Lombard Village Hall, in Lombard. Enjoy a round of golf with the family at Western Acres Golf Course in Lombard on August 18 at 5 p.m.! The fee includes nine holes of golf, a hot dog, chips and a soft drink. Participants ages 21 and up can grab a partner and get ready for some exciting bags action at the Lombard Community Building in Lombard on August 25 from noon - 6 p.m.! Families! Dust off that camping gear and get ready to spend a fun-filled evening at the rustic Four Seasons in Lombard from September 8 at 6 p.m. to September 9 at 8 a.m. Activities for the entire family will be planned including a late night weenie roast and a continental breakfast. Bring your picnic basket to Madison Meadow in Lombard on September 15 from 8 - 11 a.m. and enjoy a full morning of fishing with many fun prizes. Trophies are awarded for biggest, smallest and most caught fish in both the youth and adult age group. All state codes will apply; please have a current fishing license if age 16 or above. Fishing Derby T-shirts and supplies will be available while supplies last. This event is co-sponsored by Wal-Mart and the National Recreation & Parks Association. Pre-registration is encouraged. Prairie Days at Terrace View in Lombard offers a hands-on fishing clinic for beginners and experienced levels, programs on prairie plants, bugs and animals, demonstrations of 19th century domestic arts and children's games, as well as modern-day crafts and activities, snf food and music on September 23 from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. This free event is sponsored by the Park District, Lombard Garden Club and the Lombard Historical Society.
