WHERE: First United Methodist Church at 155 S. Main St. in Lombard.
WHEN: Wednesday, January 9 at 10 a.m.
WHY: Join the Lombard Park District's Executive Director Paul Friedrichs as he presents a $475 donation to the Northern Illinois Food Bank's (NIFB) Lombard/Villa Park Food Pantry. These proceeds were generated from the annual Lilac Time pancake breakfast that attracted over 300 visitors in 2007.

The NIFB is a nonprofit charity organization founded in May 1983 in Wheaton. NIFB distributed more than 22 million pounds of food in 2007 and is currently serving over 520 food-assistance sites in 13 northern Illinois counties.
