Lombard, IL - Visit the Lombard Park District's Western Acres Golf Course in Lombard on March 22 from 10 a.m. - noon for a FREE open house extravaganza full of golf related activities.

Open house activities will include prizes, contests, raffles, workshops, refreshments, golf etiquette and rules, club fitting, games, fun, all-ages practice, driving range, putting green, tours and more. In addition, visitors will have the opportunity to learn about the park district's involvement with the "Sticks for Kids" program which was developed by the "Golf Course Builders Association of America" to provide the tools and opportunities necessary to allow as many junior golfers as possible to enjoy the game.

Western Acres Golf Course, the park district's 9-hole, par-35 golf course, stretches over 3,000 yards. With its tranquil, well-maintained, gently sloping greens with sand and water hazards, Western Acres offers players of all ages and ability levels a unique and challenging golf experience.
