Individuals will receive a discount when registering for more than one fitness program during a season. To receive the multi-class discount, you must register before classes start. Missed classes must be made up in the same session.

BABYSITTING SERVICE

Babysitting service for ages 8 weeks to 5 years is offered during morning parent/tot and fitness classes at Sunset Knoll Recreation Center. Babysitting is designed for siblings who may not be the appropriate age to attend the Parent/Tot program, or so parents can drop off children while attending a fitness class.

Fitness Center Orientation - Free!
Learn how to use the fitness equipment in a small group setting from our personal trainers. They will demonstrate cardiovascular and weight training equipment and discuss ways to ensure a safe and effective workout. Please wear workout clothes. Minimum age is 15, unless with a parent.

A screening for stroke risk tests the carotid arteries; a screening for heart disease risk tests the arteries in the legs; and a screening for aneurysms tests the aortic vessel of the abdomen. Power Sculpt Plus
Ages 18 & up
Defy the aging process! Keep the muscle tone and strength that you were born with. Stay healthy and strong with the use of (weighted) Body Bars, dumbbells, and tubes. Instructor will be switching the program design from strength to endurance or from endurance to integrated functional movement patterns periodically (Periodization Training). Parent and Child Yoga

Exercise for Diabetics - NEW!
Ages 18 & up
This class is for the diabetic individual (Type I or Type II) who is ready to incorporate exercise into his or her lifestyle as a means of improving both blood sugar control and quality of life. Medical research confirms that diabetes is increasing at an alarming rate in the United States. The good news is that regular physical activity has a protective effect and can improve blood sugar, promote weight loss, and enhance circulation. In addition to exercise, the class provides the latest information and research on diet and diabetes. Class is taught by a registered, licensed dietitian and certified personal trainer. A physician’s written permission is required for participation. Exercise attire required as the class will include exercise participation. (4 weeks)

20/20/20: A Touch of Classic Aerobics!

You’ll get a high fat burn in this class by blending all your favorite formats into a jam-packed hour. Each day, we’ll try hi-lo impact aerobics, step or kick, and yogalates, sculpt or abs! Muscle Madness!

We’re MAD about keeping you pumped up! Did you know that after age 25 we lose one-half pound of muscle annually, unless we engage in weight bearing exercise? Defy the aging process using the training effect principle (Periodization Training) of changing the reps, sets, and weights periodically in order to keep you motivated and challenged. Supersets, trisets, and pyramid training will also be incorporated to avoid strength training plateaus. (10 weeks)
