From the Village of Lombard:
The Village of Lombard will be celebrating the Fourth of July holiday with a fireworks display at Madison Meadow Park, on Saturday, July 4, 2015. Fireworks are scheduled to begin at approximately 9:30 p.m.
Parking restrictions will be in effect in the area around Madison Meadow and street parking will be limited. Parking lots at Madison Meadow Park are expected to fill quickly. Visitors are encouraged to use a free shuttle bus service provided by the Village of Lombard, which will be departing from three locations including Madison School, 150 W. Madison St., Pleasant Lane School, 401 N. Main St., and Glenbard East High School at 1014 S. Main St. Pick-ups from these locations will go directly to the fireworks display. Bus locations will be marked with banners and exact pick up and drop off locations will be designated with signs. Shuttles will run from 7 – 11:30 p.m.
The event is designed for maximum visibility and the fireworks display can be viewed from any location in the park. Madison Meadow Park measures more than 80 acres and provides ample seating for all spectators. Anything left in the park to claim a spot, before July 4th, will be removed. Handicapped parking will be available in the parking lot off of Madison Street at the northeast corner of the park. Portable bathroom facilities will be available at various locations, which can be viewed on the event map at VillageofLombard.org/FourthofJuly.
