Elected Board of Park Commissioners
The Lombard Park District has seven Board of Park Commissioners, elected by the residents for 6-year terms. Park Board meetings are held the fourth Tuesday of each month at 6:30 PM at Sunset Knoll Recreation Center, 820 S. Finley Rd. Residents are invited to attend. Additional committee meetings are held at 6:30 pm as well. President | Email Sarah
Sarah Richardt is serving her second six-year term on the Lombard Park District Board. Sarah has two children, one who attends College of DuPage, and the other who is serving her country proudly in the United States Marines Corp. Sarah is the Executive Director of the Lombard Historical Society, and lives in the Vista Pond area of the Park District with her husband Daniel. Sarah holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree from Purdue University in Forestry and Wildlife Science.

Jim Scalzo is serving his second six-year term on the Lombard Park District Board. Jim and his wife Nicole have two children and live in the Lagoon area of the Park District. Jim is the Creative Director for a Sales and Marketing company in Rolling Meadows. Jim holds a Bachelor’s degree from Bradley University in Communications & Advertising with minors in Marketing and Graphic Design. He has been a volunteer soccer coach for the Park District for over 10 seasons, played a key role in the successful referendum that brought Lombard Paradise Bay and has been named to the “Tremendous 200 Club” by the Multiple Sclerosis Society for his fundraising efforts.

Bob Bachner was first elected to a two-year term in 2015 and was then elected to a full six-year term in 2017 on the Lombard Park District Board. Bob and his wife Ellen have two children who both attend Glenbard East High School. Bob and his family live in the Madison Meadow area of the Park District. Bob is employed by High School District #88 and works at Willowbrook High School. Bob grew up in Elmhurst but has been a Lombardian for the past 22 years. Bob is a military veteran, serving eight years as an active member of the United States Marines and three years in the reserve.

Mike Kuderna is serving his third six-year term on the Lombard Park District Board. Mike’s wife, Sharon, is the current Clerk of the Village of Lombard. Mike and Sharon have two children, one grandchild and a second on the way. Mike is employed by Zeigler Chrysler Dodge of Downers Grove. Mike has been a resident of Lombard for 31 years and lives in the Madison Meadow area of the Park District. Mike is an active member of the Lombard Moose. “As a commissioner, it allows me to make an impact on my community so that residents enjoy Lombard as much as my family continues to do.”

Dave Lemar is serving his first term on the Lombard Park District Board. Dave and his wife Amber have two children and reside in the Four Seasons area of the Park District. Dave is employed as the Superintendent of Parks for a suburban Chicago Village. Dave enjoys fishing and camping with his children and says he “ran for the Park Board to be involved in the community where we raise our family.”

Greg Ludwig was first elected to a four-year term in 2011 and currently is serving his first six-year term on the Lombard Park District Board. Greg and his wife, Dr. Georgie Ludwig, have two children and reside in the Southland area of the Park District. Greg is a lifelong, fourth generation Lombardian. Greg and Georgie are owners of their family business, the Lombard Veterinarian Hospital on St. Charles Road in Lombard, which is currently celebrating 60 years in business. Greg holds a Bachelors of Science in Business Management from National Lewis University. Greg is a member of Lombard Rotary and currently serves as a Director for the Lombard Chamber of Commerce“I always wanted to get involved and give back to the community, running for the Park District Board was a great way to do that.”

Pete Nolan is serving his second six-year term on the Lombard Park District Board. Pete and his wife Renee have one son and live in the Madison Meadow area of the Park District. Pete is employed at The Nolan Agency in Lombard. Pete was born and raised in Lombard, is a proud 1991 graduate of Glenbard East High School, and holds a Bachelor’s of Science Degree from Illinois State University. Pete is an active member of the community.
