School of Rec is available to District 44 students attending Hammerschmidt, Madison Manor Hill, Park View & Pleasant Lane now through the return of in-person learning.
School of Rec is a quality recreation-based K-6 program with e-learning opportunities operated by the Lombard Park District. The program is designed to provide a recreational service for families in the community in an environment that is safe and stimulating. The participants will enjoy indoor and outdoor free play, arts and crafts, games, activities, a healthy snack and designated e-learning and homework time.
The parent handbook below has been developed to provide parents with information regarding our policies and procedures. School of Rec is committed to offering developmentally appropriate opportunities for children to grow socially, emotionally, physically and intellectually. For questions or concerns, please contact the administrative staff listed in the parent handbook.
School of Rec is being offered only as a Monday through Friday option when school would have normally been in session. It will not meet on designated School Days Off, however, the Lombard Park District will continue to offer its normal School Day Off program at the Lombard Community Building at an additional fee.
