February 5 | Valentine’s Teen Dance: CANCELED
Bring your friends and join the fun at our teen dances held throughout the year! Our DJ will play all your favorite songs and take requests all evening long. All area youth are invited. You might be selected as the winner of a raffle prize or giveaway. Cash only with a valid student ID. Please note: dances are subject to cancellation or early closing depending on attendance at the start of the event.
February 6 | Winter Carnival: CANCELED
Don’t let cabin fever give your family the winter blues! Enjoy the cheer with at this FREE carnival. Be sure to bundle up because this indoor/outdoor event is full of hot cocoa, games, crafts, sledding and so much more. Take a ride on the Gold Medal Express train (weather-permitting) and spend the afternoon with family and friends.
March 20 | Take Time for Tots Day: CANCELED
Enjoy a FREE morning of arts and crafts, safety information, storytelling pony rides, bounce houses, balloon animals and so much more!
March 27 | Egg Hunt
Hop into spring with Lombard Park District’s Egg Hunt! Bring a basket and get ready to seek eggs, prizes and candy. Mr. Bunny may even make a guest appearance. Please note: registration is per child. Each child will be permitted one adult to join them, however they may not assist in the collection of eggs. All adults and participants ages 2 years and older must wear a face covering and practice social distancing during the event.
March 28 | NEW! BreakFAST with the Bunny
Purchase a Bunny Breakfast Box for a family of 4 or more! Boxes will include everything needed to make a bunny pancake breakfast! Boxes also include crafts and other exciting spring activities. When families pick up their box, they will be able to take a quick, socially-distanced picture with the Bunny! Please note: registration is only required for one adult per family. Boxes are designed for a family of 4. Participants may purchase additional crafts based on their family’s needs.
March 29 – April 3 | NEW! You’ve Been Egged!
Lombard Park District is bringing its Egg Hunt to your front door! Register to “egg” your own house, a neighbor or grandkids’ house. The possibilities are “eggless!” Each registered household will receive eggs filled with candy and toys placed in their front yard during the week of 03/29 – 04/03. Families will receive a phone call to let them know when the house is being “egged” so they can be on the lookout. A yard sign will be placed in each family’s yard. Please note: this event is limited to Lombard Park District and Village of Lombard residents only.
April 9 | Spring Fling Teen Dance: CANCELED
Bring your friends and join the fun at our teen dances held throughout the year! Our DJ will play all your favorite songs and take requests all evening long. All area youth are invited. April 24 | Topsy Turvy Tea Party
Don’t be late for a very important date! Join us for some topsy-turvy tea party fun! Come dressed in your tea party best and enjoy mini sandwiches, snacks, and of course, tea! There will be a crafts, games, and a visit from a special guest of honor! Please note: registration is to reserve a table of 6. Please only register one individual in your household. In the event of inclement weather, the tea party will be moved to the Lombard Community Building.
April 30 | Little Lady Lilac Ball
Dads and daughters will dance, play games and enjoy a sweets table. Plus enjoy a visit from the Lilac Princesses!
May 14 | Beer Tasting: CANCELED
Come join Lombard Park District to sample a variety of beers in Lilacia Park. Tasters will have a chance to taste of variety of beers and hear from experts about the golden suds. Participants receive a tasting glass and raffle ticket.
May 15 | Mutt Strut
Lombard Park District presents the 16th Annual 5K and 1-Mile in conjunction with Lilac Time. Participate with or without your dog in either of these exciting events! An official race t-shirt is included with registration! This year, the park district will be offering two different registration options, virtual or in-person. Please note: participants will receive the same race items regardless of the registration option selected.
May 15 | Wine Tasting: CANCELED
Come join Lombard Park District as we enjoy a sampling of many types of white, red and dessert wines. Hear from experts and learn what makes each wine delicious and unique. Participants will receive a tasting glass and raffle ticket.
June 12 | Fishing Derby
Bring your tackle box, poles and bucket for a live well to Four Seasons for a full morning of fishing – rain or shine! Trophies will be awarded for Biggest, Smallest, and Most Caught in youth and adult categories. All state fishing codes will be applicable. Since this event occurs during Illinois’ Free Fishing Day, it will be legal to fish without a license for the event. Fishing will be followed by an awards presentation.
June – August | Movies in the Park
Join us for a FREE evening under the stars as we watch some of our favorite flicks on the big screen! Bring a blanket, some snacks and your family for an evening of movie fun! Don’t forget the popcorn! Families are encouraged to practice social distancing. Movies will begin after sunset.
August 7 | Bounce Back to School
Let’s bounce back to school! Join us for a FREE morning of bounce houses, an inflatable obstacle course, refreshments, giveaways and live entertainment!
September 10 – 11 | Family Camp Out: CANCELED
Dust off that camping gear and get ready to spend a fun-filled evening at the rustic Log Cabin at Four Seasons. Activities for the entire family will be planned including crafts inside the log cabin, outdoor games, a flashlight hunt, late night s’mores and a continental breakfast in the morning.
September 18 | Touch-a-Truck
This event is perfect for families to play outside, meet with local businesses and touch-a-truck. A variety of vendors will be present along with activities focused on play. Kids will have the opportunity to explore police cars, fire trucks, dump trucks and so much more!
October 2 | Fall Fest
Autumn winds begin to blow, colored leaves fall fast and slow! NEW this year, families are invited to bring canned and non-perishable goods to Fall Fest to support the Lombard/Villa Park Food Pantry. Fall Fest is a FREE community event that has something for everyone. Families enjoy games, dancing, face painting, a candy hunt and so much more! Be sure to visit the Lombard Community Building from 2:00 – 3:00 pm for a round of Boo Bingo.
October 8 – 9 | Tales & Tombstones
Lombard Park District in partnership with the Lombard Historical Society invites you to an evening at the oldest cemetery in Lombard. Attendees will be guided on a candlelit tour through the cemetery where they will meet past residents of Lombard that lived here over a hundred years ago. Participants will also enjoy light refreshments. Please note: pre-registration is required.
October 15 | Mom Prom
Moms and their sons enjoy an evening of fun at Mom Prom. Dance to a live DJ and play exciting dance games with high energy Whitman Entertainment, plus enjoy a dessert bar!
October 28 | Monster Bash
Get ready for Halloween with the Monster Bash! Play spooky games, enjoy some ghoulish treats and be sure to wear a costume.
October 22 | Halloween Teen Dance: CANCELED

November 13 | Turkey Shoot
Get ready for Thanksgiving by participating in the 10th Annual Turkey Shoot. Showcase your skills in the Hot Shot Shooting Contest and/or Skills Competition for a chance to bring home the bird plus other giveaways! This event always gets us into the Thanksgiving spirit.
December 3 | Daddy Daughter Holiday Dance
Dress your best, grab your dad and head to this popular event! Dads and daughters will dance the night away, play games and enjoy a yummy dessert table! Don’t be surprised if a jolly guest makes a special appearance! Be sure to order a corsage and have it waiting for you at the dance!
December 4 | Jingle Bell Jubilee
Jingles, the reindeer invites you to join the Lombard Park District, Village of Lombard, Helen Plum Library, Calvary Episcopal Church, and many more local businesses to enjoy the sights of the season.
December 4 – December 19 | Jingles’ Holiday Decorating Contest
Jingles the reindeer is looking for some of the most festive and creative houses in Lombard! Families can register their houses in this decorating contest to help bring some holiday spirit to Lombard. Participating houses will be added to our Holiday Lights Map so that families can drive around town and take in the sights of the holidays. Houses entered in the contest will be voted on by the community and winning houses will receive a prize! Along the route, see if you can spot Jingles himself as local businesses and organizations have decorated him for the holidays. Please note: registration for the contest will be online-only. Participating houses must have their lights turned on each night beginning at 4:30 pm for the duration of the contest.
December 15 – December 22 | NEW! You’ve Been Elfed!
There are some elves on the loose in Lombard! Sign your household up to be “elfed” this holiday season! Each registered household will be surprised with a sweet and festive candy cane hunt placed in their front yard during the week of 12/15 – 12/22. Families will receive a phone call to let them know when the house is being “elfed” so they can be on the lookout. A yard sign will be placed in each family’s yard notifying them who they have been “elfed” by. Please note: this event is limited to Lombard Park District and Village of Lombard residents only.
December 4 – January 2 | Holiday Lights in Lilacia Park
Enjoy Lombard Park District’s annual holiday lights display in Lilacia Park! Charming holiday displays illuminate the park from 4:30 – 10:00 pm each night with magical light shows, tree decorations, a gingerbread house and so much more!
