Party Wagon

2026 Party Wagon Lottery

Party wagons are available free of charge to Lombard Park District and/or Village of Lombard residents once per household per year. Party wagons include ten tables, 100 chairs, 10’x10′ canopy tent, bean bag game, large charcoal grill (upon special request), drop-off, and pick-up services. Large charcoal grills are available on a first come-first serve basis, as there are a limited number available. Contact Laurie Finn at 630.620.7322 to request a grill. All party wagon reservation dates are Fridays, as the party wagon will be on-site by your household all weekend. The party wagon will be dropped off on your Friday reservation date between 10am-1pm and picked up the Monday after, between 7- 8am.

A $100 deposit will be charged upon reserving the party wagon.  After the party wagon is picked up from your household, and upon positive inspection of the contents, the $100 deposit will be returned. In case of any damage or loss of the party wagon and/or its contents or said items are not returned clean and in good repair, the Lombard Park District will withhold all of or part of your deposit for the cost of the cleaning and/or organizing, repairs, and/or replacements for the party wagon and its contents. If damage exceeds the $100 deposit, you will be contacted to pay the balance due. Failure to pay the balance due may disrupt your usage of Park District services. You will be notified if the Lombard Park District is retaining all or part of your deposit. It is further understood that a charge of $25.00 may be deducted from your deposit for any key not returned with the party wagon.

The Lombard Park District must adhere to all Village of Lombard parking ordinances. If a no parking zone is located in front of your house (i.e., fire hydrant, school zone, a no parking this side of the street sign), the party wagon will be placed in your driveway.

If you cannot be home at the time of drop-off to accept the key for the party wagon, the key may be placed in your mailbox, or you may arrange to pick up the key during regular business hours at Sunset Knoll Recreation Center, 820 S. Finley Road. The facility is open Monday-Friday 8:30 am-7 pm and Saturday 9 am-12 pm. If you do not pick up the key during regular business hours, your wagon will not be able to be unlocked. Please contact Laurie Finn at 630.620.7322 to arrange a key pick-up.

Anybody attempting to reserve a party wagon without a Lombard address will be removed from the reservation and refunded the $100 deposit. A receipt with the transaction will be emailed.

Please note: You must contact the Village of Lombard Public Works Department at 630.620.5740 to receive a permit to close your street for a block party.
