Youth t-ball introduces basic baseball rules and sportsmanship along with teaching the necessary baseball fundamentals of base running, hitting and fielding to your little athlete. The program begins with three weeks of instruction in a practice setting followed by three weeks of games. Games are 50 minutes and may be played at 5:30 or 6:30 pm regardless of which time slot participants have registered for. The program is taught by Park District staff, but parents are encouraged to help with instruction. Proper sanitation and social distancing guidelines will be practiced throughout the season.
Lombard Park District offers a variety of athletics for youth ages 2-15 years. These instructional programs are great for beginners and kids looking to advance their understanding of the fundamentals of sports. These classes are taught by park district staff or contractual groups such as 3Point Athletics, P2 Soccer with Firebirds, Chicago Fire, Challenger International, EVP Volleyball Academy and many more. Athletics include baseball, t-ball, lacrosse, basketball, volleyball, football, hockey, golf, soccer, tennis, ice skating and martial arts.
Youth Athletic Leagues
Lombard Park District offers youth athletic leagues for multiple sports throughout the year. Youth athletic leagues are for all ages and skill levels, and especially for kids looking to advance understanding of the fundamentals of sport. Our youth athletic leagues will provide a fun and safe environment for children to learn sportsmanship, hand-eye coordination, skill development, teamwork and so much more.
Through the years, it has become common for parents to provide postgame snacks for the youth athletic teams. To keep with promoting healthy lifestyles and fitness, we ask that parents choose healthy items when possible and be aware of any food allergies.
Players registered after the deadline will be placed on a waiting list. There is no guarantee players will be accepted off of the waiting list. If players are not placed on a team from the waiting list, refunds will be granted minus a $10 processing fee.
