The Lombard Park District offers an extensive youth softball program with the including instruction for all ages and skill levels. The primary goal is to create an opportunity for fundamental skills development in a positive, supportive, friendly, safe and most importantly, fun environment for every player. Coaches will determine all practice times. New this year, The Park District has joined the 5 Star Softball League. The Park District reserves the right to combine age levels if necessary. Register before February 3 to receive a $25 discount.
The Lombard Thunder Travel Softball program offers girls an opportunity to compete at a higher level while also participating in the in-house softball program. Program includes indoor practices starting in January, outdoor practices starting in April, six clinics with a professional softball coach, one round robin and four local tournaments. We offer this program Part-Time for 10U, 12U, and 14U and Full-Time for 10U. Interested in joining? Tryouts take place the end of August, stay tuned!
(Grade 4-8) Attention basketball players! We are offering an opportunity for you to continue playing basketball into the spring and summer. The Lombard Park District will be entering teams into local tournaments that will allow your child to play against teams from all over the suburbs.
The Lombard Park District offers a variety of athletics for youth ages 2-15 years. These instructional programs are great for beginners and kids looking to advance their understanding of the fundamentals of sports. These classes are taught by Park District staff or contractual groups such as 3Point Athletics, Fire Birds, EVP Volleyball Academy, and more. Athletics include but are not limited to: baseball, t-ball, lacrosse, basketball, volleyball, football, hockey, golf, soccer, tennis, ice skating and martial arts.
Youth Athletic Leagues
The Lombard Park District offers instructional leagues for youth throughout the year. Youth leagues are for all ability levels and kids looking to advance their understanding of the fundamentals of the sport. We believe that youth athletics provides a safe and fun environment for children to learn sportsmanship, hand/eye coordination, skill development and teamwork.

Through the years, it has become common for parents to bring after-game snacks for the youth athletic teams. In keeping with promoting health and fitness, we ask that you choose healthy items when doing so, and be aware of food allergies.
Registrations made after the deadline will be placed on a waiting list. There is no guarantee a child will be accepted off the waiting list into the league. If a player is not placed on a team from the waiting list, a refund is granted minus a $10 processing fee.
Coach of the Year
Did your child have a wonderful experience with a coach? Nominate that coach for an award! We are looking for coaches who embrace the ideals of leadership, fun, fair play, sportsmanship, and skill improvement. Rams Athletic Camps
In conjunction with Glenbard East High School, Rams Camps offers a variety of instructional athletic summer camps for kids heading into grades 3-12.
