Youth Athletics and Leagues
The Lombard Park District has a variety of youth athletic programs. Please view our Activity Guide for full program descriptions. (Grade K-8) Participant will learn basic skills and enjoy the fun and competition of weekly games. Games will be approximately one hour. Grades K-2 will have both practices and games on Saturdays. Grades 3 and higher will play a nine game season on weekends and typically have a one hour practice one evening per week at a local school gym, day, and time chosen by their coach.
(Grades 9-12) Your basketball career is not over after middle school! Grab some friends and organize a team. Players in this basketball league will practice once weekly and play games on Sunday afternoons. Teams will play eight regular season games and practice in a season ending tournament.
(Ages 6-11) Come out and play as we have fun learning the fundamentals of the game with unique drills, games, and contests that will help you active and sharpen your basketball skills.
The Lombard Park District offers a variety of athletics for youth ages 2-15 years. These instructional programs are great for beginners and kids looking to advance their understanding of the fundamentals of sports. These classes are taught by Park District staff or contractual groups such as 3Point Athletics, Fire Birds, EVP Volleyball Academy, and more. Athletics include but are not limited to: baseball, t-ball, lacrosse, basketball, volleyball, football, hockey, golf, soccer, tennis, ice skating and martial arts.
Youth Athletic Leagues
The Lombard Park District offers instructional leagues for youth throughout the year. Youth leagues are for all ability levels and kids looking to advance their understanding of the fundamentals of the sport. We believe that youth athletics provides a safe and fun environment for children to learn sportsmanship, hand/eye coordination, skill development and teamwork.

Through the years, it has become common for parents to bring after-game snacks for the youth athletic teams. In keeping with promoting health and fitness, we ask that you choose healthy items when doing so, and be aware of food allergies.
Registrations made after the deadline will be placed on a waiting list. There is no guarantee a child will be accepted off the waiting list into the league. If a player is not placed on a team from the waiting list, a refund is granted minus a $10 processing fee.
Coach of the Year
Did your child have a wonderful experience with a coach? Nominate that coach for an award! We are looking for coaches who embrace the ideals of leadership, fun, fair play, sportsmanship, and skill improvement. Rams Athletic Camps
In conjunction with Glenbard East High School, Rams Camps offers a variety of instructional athletic summer camps for kids heading into grades 3-12.
