Meet the Instructors
Karen Stanley
Preschool Supervisor | Teacher
Ms. Karen has been the Kiddie Campus Preschool Coordinator since 2018. She enjoys that part of her administrative duties is to spend every morning teaching the junior and senior children.
She has a master’s degree in Early Childhood Leadership and Advocacy and has enjoyed teaching children for 29 years. Ms. Karen loves teaching because every day is a new adventure when helping children learn and grow, and it is always joyful!
When not at preschool, she loves to spend time with her husband, three daughters, and dog.
Amanda Davidek
Teacher
Ms. Amanda has been a lead teacher at Kiddie Campus Preschool since 2005. She enjoys working with the senior children in morning and afternoon classes.
She has a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education. During her 20 years as a teacher, she has taught children of various ages 3-5 as well as school age, 7-10 during summer camp. Ms. Amanda loves teaching because of the fun and creative environment of a classroom. It’s great seeing the excitement when children discover something for the first time or master something they have been working on.
When not at preschool, she enjoys spending time with her husband and family.
Laurel Brill
Teacher
Ms. Laurel has been a lead teacher at Kiddie Campus Preschool since 2003. She enjoys working with the junior children in the Tuesday and Thursday morning and afternoon classes.
She has a bachelor’s degree in Psychology. During her 19 years as preschool teacher, she has always enjoyed working with children ages 3-4. Ms. Laurel loves teaching because this age is so fun! The children are genuinely excited to be at school and seeing their friends. They are constantly discovering new things and have so much to tell us!
When not at preschool, she enjoys spending time with her husband, two children, and two dogs.
Andrea Robertson
Teacher
Ms. Andrea has been a lead teacher at Kiddie Campus Preschool since 2017. She enjoys working with the junior children in Monday, Wednesday, Friday morning and afternoon classes.
She has taught in the field of early childhood for 35 years. Her years of experience and her pursuit of early childhood education classes have made her a highly qualified teacher. Ms. Andrea loves teaching because laughing and being silly at times are special memories we make together as a class.
When not at preschool, she loves to spend time with her husband, two kids, and four cats.
Josephine Nehra
Assistant Teacher
Ms. Josephine has been an assistant teacher since January 2022. She enjoys working with the senior children in the Tuesday and Thursday morning class.
She has a bachelor’s degree in History. She taught for eight years and then stopped to raise her family. She is happy to be teaching again and enjoys working with children, and loves the community it creates. She feels teachers are extremely important in providing the connection that allows children to comprehend what is being taught.
When not at preschool, she enjoys spending time with her husband and three beautiful children.
Darlene Trevino
Assistant Teacher
Ms. Darlene became an assistant teacher in 2023. She enjoys working with the junior and senior children Monday-Friday morning.
She has a masters degree in Geoscience, but being a mother made her realize she has a passion for working with children. Ms. Darlene has worked as a lunch room and playground supervisor, as well as before and after school care for elementary school children. She loves being in preschool because she enjoys making crafts with the children and helping them learn new things each day.
When not at preschool, she enjoys spending time with her husband and three children.
Cathy Janes
Assistant Teacher
Ms. Cathy became an assistant teacher in 2024. She enjoys working with the senior children Monday, Wednesday, and Friday morning.
She received a master’s degree in Guidance and Counseling, and also has an elementary school teaching certificate. She loves working with children, and is excited to help them learn and grow.
When not at preschool, she enjoys volunteering for various programs at her church, and spending time with her daughter and other family members.
Sarah Halstead
Assistant Teacher
This is Ms. Sarah’s first year with Kiddie Campus Preschool as an assistant teacher. She enjoys working with the junior children Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings.
She has a master’s degree in Criminal Justice. When Sarah realized she wanted to stay home with her daughter, she started running a home daycare for nine years. She is so happy to be in the preschool setting as the junior class is a fun age and the children are excited to learn, play, and make friends.
When not at preschool, she enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter.
Tooba Bhatti
Assistant Teacher
Ms. Tooba has worked for the Lombard Park District since 2019 as a Tot Instructor. She joined Kiddie Campus Preschool this year as an assistant teacher. She enjoys working with the junior children Tuesday and Thursday mornings.
She pursued studies in Early Childhood Education at the College of DuPage. She has a passion for working with young children and believes that each day brings new opportunities for laughter and learning.
When not at preschool she enjoys spending time with family, exploring new coffee shops, and shopping.
