Lombard Park District’s theatre programs are perfect for your budding star. Choose from a variety of classes that work on aspects of dramatic and comedic performances including acting, improv, character awareness, imagination, and more! Students will have a chance to shine and show off their new skills through a short performance for families on the final day of class. Summer Theatre Production: Into the Woods Jr.
Lombard Park District is proud to announce its premiere recreational youth theatre program. Actors ages 11-17 will work together to create quality, age-appropriate productions suitable for family viewing.

About the Play: Be careful what you wish for, as Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine’s cockeyed fairytale comes to life in this adaptation of their groundbreaking, Tony award-winning musical. Into the Woods Jr. features all of your favorite characters– Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Jack and his beanstalk) and the Witch- in this lyrically retelling of classic Brothers Grimm fables.

Mini Musical: Aristocats Kids (Ages 8-11)
Based on the beloved Disney animated film, featuring a jazzy, upbeat score, Disney’s Aristocats Kids is a non-stop thrill ride of feline fun, complete with unbelievable twists and turns. In the heart of Paris, a kind of eccentric millionairess wills her entire estate to Duchess, her high-society cat, and her three little kittens. Laughs and adventure ensure as the greedy-bumbling butler pulls off the ultimate catnap caper. Now it is up to the rough-and-tumble alley cat.
