Paradise Bay Water Park 

Paradise Bay Water Park is an award-winning, state-of-the art facility of the Lombard Park District that offers refreshing summertime fun for residents and guests. Paradise Bay Water Park features something fun for everyone! Hurricane Cove, a zero-depth entry leisure pool with spouts, fountains, water sprays and whirlpool. Hurricane Cove also hosts Sidewinder (body slide), Wipeout (bowl slide), Pipeline (speed slide) and Alligator Crossing water walk. Splashdown, a 12-foot dive well, boasts both a 3-meter and 1-meter dive board and drop slide. Dolphin Cove, the 8-lane lap pool can be set up to encourage lap swim, water basketball and volleyball. Younger visitors enjoy the zero-depth entry of Turtle Cove in addition to its fountains, island and water slide that’s just their size. Paradise Bay Water Park offers a full-service concession stand, locker room facilities, swimming lessons, water fitness classes, Lombard Waves Swim and Dive Team and special events throughout the summer. Looking for the perfect venue for birthday parties or other celebrations? Water Depth Levels & Attractions

In order to enter any pools at Paradise Bay Water Park, you must be wearing a lined swimsuit. Management reserves the right to ask you to exit the water if you are wearing street clothes.

Turtle Cove (Zero Depth – 2′) – An enclosed tot pool with fountains, sprayers, climbing features, and a small island with a couple slides. This area is designed for families with children under 48″ tall.

Hurricane Cove (Zero Depth – 4′) – The main activity pool at Paradise Bay Water Park. In addition to fountains and sprayers, Hurricane Cove includes a whirlpool and bubble bench. Gator Crossing, a water walk with a cargo net, can only be used by patrons tall enough to reach the net on their own.

Two of Paradise Bay’s slides, Pipeline and Sidewinder, open into Hurricane Cove, into 3′ 6″ of water. In order to use these slides, you must be taller than 42′′.  The yellow Pipeline slide is an enclosed speed slide, while the red Sidewinder slide is slower and more curvier.

WipeOut (Drops into 8′ of water) – The Bowl Slide at Paradise Bay. Since the slide drops into 8 feet of water, weak or non-swimmers should avoid this attraction. Patrons must be taller than 48′′ to ride this slide.

Splashdown (Drops into 12′ 2′′ of water) – The Dive Well at Paradise Bay comprises of a low dive, high dive, and drop slide.

Dolphin Cove (3′ 6′′ – 5′ of water) – Paradise Bay has an 8 lane lap pool. While the lap lanes are strictly for continuous lap swim only, the rest of the pool is able to be enjoyed by all.

Additional Rules can be found here. Patrons are encouraged to familiarize themselves with the pool rules before coming to Paradise Bay. These rules have been put in place to ensure everyone coming to Paradise Bay can enjoy the facility while remaining safe.

Inclement Weather

Since Paradise Bay Water Park is an outdoor facility, pool management will closely monitor the weather on days that rain is forecasted. Patrons are encouraged to check the weather before coming to Paradise Bay, as refunds will not be given out for potential weather-related closures.

Paradise Bay will close for inclement weather, including thunderstorms. We follow Illinois Pool Code and will close for 30 minutes after the last bolt of lightning or clap of thunder. In the event that Paradise Bay has to close for inclement weather, refunds will not be given out. Pool Management reserves the right to close the facility for the remainder of the day if the weather outlook doesn’t improve, or storms will continue throughout the day. Staff regularly update the Lombard Park District’s RainOutLine site. Patrons are encouraged to check that site before coming to Paradise Bay.

Special Events

Teen Nights at the Pool

Thursdays, June 8, July 6 and August 10 | 8-10pm | Back by popular demand, check out our Teen Nights at the Pool!  While you’re swimming the night away, don’t forget about the raffles and pool games for cool prizes. These events are open to all area Middle School age youth. Concessions are available, so bring extra money for snacks! Parent/guardian signature is required for admission to Teen Nights at the Pool. Cash only. Bring school ID.

Flick and Float

Thursday, June 15 | 6:30-9:30pm | Join us for a brand-new event at Paradise Bay! Bring your floats and come catch a movie in Hurricane Cove. Popcorn will be available at our concession stand. No food or drinks will be allowed in the pool. Floats will be allowed in the facility. Acceptable size and shape of the float subject to approval of the manager. No floats will be allowed in the dive well or water slide area.

Father’s Day 

Sunday, June 18 | ALL DAY | It’s Dad’s day, bring him to the water park for a day of fun! Fathers are free when accompanied by their children.

Root Beer Float Night 

Thursday, June 22 | 6:30-8:30pm | This float night includes a sweet surprise! Show your floats and blow-up chairs to the cashier and receive a ticket for one free root beer float per person while supplies lasts. Acceptable size and shape of the float subject to approval of the manager. No floats will be allowed in the dive well or water slide area.

Family Olympics

Thursday, June 29 | 6:30-8:30pm | Bring the whole family for a friendly competition of kick board races, lap lane relays, and contests on the slides and gator crossing. Silver and Gold medals will be awarded.

Mother’s Day 

Sunday, July 9 | ALL DAY | It’s Mom’s day in Paradise! Bring your mom to the water park for a day of fun. Mothers are free when accompanied by their children.

Rubber Ducky Night

Thursday, July 13 | 6:30-8:30pm | Enjoy games, crafts and events centered on everyone’s favorite water toy, The Rubber Ducky! Events include duck races down Pipeline, pick-a-duck and more!

Cardboard Boat Regatta

Wednesday, July 19 | 10-11am | Show us your skills as you craft your own boat at home and race it at Paradise Bay! Various prizes will be given out for categories such as fastest team, best design, and longest float. Boats can only be constructed of cardboard and duct tape. The captain of the boat must be inside the boat and be able to swim on their own. Paddles are allowed and must be made of cardboard and duct tape as well. Teams will have to pre-register ahead of time and will be sent specific instructions. After the race, teams will be allowed to spend the rest of the day at Paradise Bay. The races will begin at 10:00am SHARP, so don’t be late!

Swim Lesson Splash Bash

Thursday, July 27 | 6:30-8:30pm | Join your favorite swim instructor for a night of fun swimming at Paradise Bay! Admission is free for one child and one adult with presentation of that child’s 2023 swim lesson certificate.

Customer Appreciation Night

Tuesday, August 1 | 5:00-9:00pm | As a thank you to our customers and pass holders, Paradise Bay Water Park is hosting a Customer Appreciation Night. Everyone is welcome to join us for games, activities and prizes. There will also be special drawings for pass holders.

Grandparent’s Day 

Sunday, August 6 | ALL DAY | Enjoy water slides, drop slides, a zero-depth leisure pool, an enclosed tot pool, spouts, fountains, sun, shade and concessions. All grandparents are admitted free when bringing at least one paying grandchild.

Rental Information

Paradise Bay Water Park is an award-winning, state-of-the-art aquatic facility. It has a variety of amenities including a leisure pool, spouts, fountains, water sprays, whirlpool, water walk, four fantastic slides, tot pool, dive well and lap pool. The facility is available for private rentals from 7:00 – 9:00 pm on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Please note: facility private rental times and fees are subject to change based on current state guidelines. Party Deck & Birthday Party Rentals

Want an area designated to just you, your friends and family at Paradise Bay? Try out our party deck area for your next event! Party deck rentals include an area to yourself, opportunity to bring your own food and beverages, decorations and more.  Party Decks/Birthday Parties are offered Friday, Saturday and Sunday throughout the season for full or half days. Party deck rental fees cover your use of the area and your first 10 guests (birthday child is free). The party deck space has a maximum capacity of 40 people. For groups larger than this, the organizer should contact the Facilities and Aquatics Manager at rperez@lombardparks.com for special accommodations.
