Exciting changes are taking shape at Old Grove! The construction fence is up, and the new playground equipment is beginning to go in.

Exciting progress is underway at Lombard Common! The construction fence is up, and installation of the new playground equipment has begun.

Update, 02/26/2026

The Lombard Common and Old Grove playground improvement projects are scheduled to begin this spring. Contractors will be installing construction fencing at both sites this week as preparations get underway.

Update, 9/24/2025

The Lombard Park District is planning upgrades to the Lombard Common playground, located off Edgewood, and the Old Grove West playground, located off Michelle Lane. These projects are scheduled to go out to bid in fall 2025, with construction anticipated in spring 2026.

Improvements will include new playgrounds, concrete curbing, accessible pathways, and benches. See below for renderings of the two new playgrounds scheduled for completion in 2026.
